Live Mandarin lessons for ages 3 to 18. Songs and games for the little ones, real conversation for teens.
We only teach children and teenagers. Every lesson is live, with a teacher who follows your child's pace instead of a fixed textbook.
Young children learn with songs, drawings and simple games. Older children start reading and writing characters. Teens talk about things they actually care about, in Chinese.
Questions are always welcome, in English or in Chinese. A wrong tone is no problem. That is how children learn to say it right.
In one lesson children speak, play, draw and sing. Switching between activities keeps young learners focused, and they use the new words instead of only hearing them.
We use Chinese word games to practise new words and phrases. A child remembers a word much better after using it to win a round.
Our teachers are native Mandarin speakers with years of experience with children. They know when to push a little and when a child needs a break.
Language comes with culture. Children learn about Chinese New Year, the Mid-Autumn Festival, everyday customs and, of course, the food.
Children earn small rewards as they reach each new step. It gives them something to aim for and shows them how far they have come.
Your child joins from home, wherever you live. We plan lesson times around school and other activities.
Simple words, songs and drawings. Short lessons, lots of repetition, no pressure.
Games, stories and exercises that build vocabulary, first characters and short conversations.
More structure: YCT exam preparation, conversation practice and Chinese culture.
The moment I love most is when a child answers me in Chinese without stopping to think about it.
MarinaQuick answers to common questions.
The first lesson is relaxed and playful. For younger children we use songs, games, and visual materials so learning feels like an activity. For teens we start with a short chat to gauge their level and interests, then shape the lessons around them.
Absolutely. We welcome complete beginners from age 3. Every lesson starts from your child's own level, so there is no catching up to do and no pressure.
Lessons are interactive from start to finish, with games, stories, songs, and plenty of speaking. Because children are doing rather than only listening, they stay curious and look forward to the next lesson.
Both. Most lessons are online via Zoom, which is flexible and works from anywhere. When our teachers are in the Netherlands, we also teach in person in Amsterdam.
Pick a single lesson or a package on our booking page and pay online. You get a confirmation and invoice by email right away. Then we agree on a day and time together, and you receive a Zoom link before every online lesson.
